Mangisursuro Mike Inay 1984.jpg

Mangisursuro Michael G. Inay - 1944 to 2000

Mangisursuro Mike Inay was indebted to his two teachers, Grandmaster Angel Cabales (deceased) and Grandmaster Max Sarmiento (deceased).  Without these men and their willingness to share their knowledge, wisdom and techniques, the Inayan System of Eskrima would not exist as it does today, being faithfully passed on by the many lives he touched in so many ways.

Guro Kristine Strasburger received her training in eskrima from Suro Mike Inay, and his core group of dedicated Guros assisting him in the mid-1980's:  Michael Amistoso, Benjamin Berry, Gary Bowldes, Frank Defanti, Freddie Madrid, Rob McDonald and John Peterson.

As vitally important as the teachers are, the fellow students and peers also play an important role in the training process.  The following people trained alongside Kristine Strasburger (Alonzo) in eskrima under Suro Mike Inay's instruction:  Julie Alonzo, Karin Alonzo, Rick Cole, Garth Duncan, Gary Dunlevy, Ed Fong, Bill Fretz, Pedro Garcia, Andre Green, Greg Gibbons, Mardee Hansen, Emanuel Hart, Chris Horvath, Steve Klement, John Latimer, Dee Malone, Richard Meitus, Cory Takemoto, Art True, Nancy, Arturo and others.
